Pt. Vishwanath Sharma Hindu Charitable Trust

Marching Ahead With Its Philanthropic Activities For The Downtrodden Countrymen 

Late Pt. Vishwanath Sharma Hindu Charitable Trust, established in 1984, is a highly trusted name in the field of Social Service, religious activities, health services and scholarship distribution to deserving & needy students. The trust organises examinations to asses the students with calibre for scholarships in rural as well as urban areas, every year. The candidates who are disserving to receive are honoured with freeship cheques, certificate of merit, memento of the Trust and a booklet named 'Our Ancestors'. Keeping our tradition in mind Sanskrit Schools are also given financial aid from time to time. The Trust provides financial assistance for religious ceremonies, colourful processions, Ramlilas, Shivratri, Regional fares and group marriage ceremonies. During community services, fares etc. the Trust arranges free Ayurveda Camps to assist the rural and urban population with medical consultations and free medical aids. The Trust also provides medical mobile ambulances for medical aid to reach the remote and backward areas. Free study materials and note books are given free of cost to students who lack resources and are financially weak.

The details of the work mainly in the last 10 years so far, in the above mentioned activities are as follows

In The Field of Education

Rani Laxmi Bai Group of Schools, are among India’s best chain of educational institutions, in Jhansi, Lalitpur and Datia. Financial Aid, to Meritorious students, Wards of military personnel, and Teachers’ wards, of Rs. 37,72,150 Rs. 7,21,408 and Rs. 2,22,23,593.

The Trust has been Conducting Test for the assessment of the children of merit to award Scholarships in Villages of Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Mahoba, Hamirpur & Tikamgarh, Datia, Shivpuri, Sagar, Chattarpur districts of UP, M.P. and the Bundelkhand region and has extended a financial support to deserving candidates in the form of scholarship ammounting to Rs. 5323874. 12071, students have been benefitted so far. 

The Trust has distributed notebooks and other study materials to poor students in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda, Hamirpur, Jalaun & Tikamgarh, Shivpuri and Datia of Bundelkhand Region 484818 Notebooks have been distributed, benefiting 50,682 students so far. This year the Trust has to set a target to benefit 5,00,000 students.The Trust has given a financial aid of Rs. 2,61,800 (Two Lakh Sixty One Thousand and Eight Hundred) to 22 institutions imparting education in Sanskrit.

 

In The Field of Health

The Trust has organized 75 free medical camps in the urban and rural areas of Jhansi, Lalitpur and Datia. 18462 People have availed the facility of life saving drugs, free of cost. A mobile hospital owned by the Trust is providing medical aid to distant rural areas. Recently the trust has organised camps in Badhera Pahad Mata Mandir Chirgaon, Village Hati, Teh.Tehrauli, Village, Itail, Mauranipur of Jhansi district and Panari, Masaura kala, Bamhauri kala, Jeeron, Dailwara in Lalitpur district and Mahoba and 20 medical camps in Jhansi.

 

In The Field of Social and Religious Assistance

financial aid of Rs. 6,01,000 (Six Lac One Thousand) to Samuhik Vivah Organised by various Social Institutions in this Society. Recently an aid of Rs. 11000, 11000, 5100, 21000 has been given to Samuhik Vivahs organised by Nuvyubak Balmiki Samajik Uthan Samity, Kushwaha Samaj Sudhar Samity, Dwittiya Nishad, Bisaati Muslim Samaj Samoohik Vivah Samity respectively.

For imparting proper education and Social welfare and religious cultural programme, the Trust has contributed Rs. 69,68,496 (Rupees Sixty Nine Lac Sixty Eight Thousand Four Hundred Ninety Six Only). Recently the Trust has given financial aid for renovating Sri Krishna Sankirtan Temple in Sipri Bazar, Ram Raja temple in Mehandi Bagh, Maharani Laxmibai Girls College, DAV Higher Secondary and monetary aid to Chandi Mata Temple in Lalitpur and Ram Manohar Lohiya Kanya Vidhyalaya –Banpur Gugarwara, Sudama Prasad Goswami Junior High School – Talbehat The Trust is joining hands with people to encourage promotion of education in the rural areas and in the management of other educational institutions.

The Trust has installed 17 handpumps in the rural areas. Tankers have been erected one each, in Dineri, Baghera, Bangra Region Khajraha, Dubki, Bhitaura, Sijauri, Pathguwan, Kachnev, Dhava(Bangra), Gudha, Rai sania, Magarwara, Itayal, Two in Tehrauli, Badaura in Babina region and 4 Tankers have been provided for the Towns and city areas besides Jhansi, districts of Bangra and Madawara Block have been provided for clean drinking water through Tankers

During Chilly cold winters blankets are distributed to poor and woollen clothes to poverty struck sehariya caste in particular. This year 500 blankets were distributed to poor at various villages like Bhandarigate, Gumnawara, Thapak bagh, Gram-Boodha, Pathoriya, Paal Colony, Hansari, Bangra, Katera, Tehroli, Ranipur, Chirgaon, Uldan, Moth, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda. This year at different-different places facilities of allov was made.

In the field of Woman Empowerment, the Trust has contributed 21 Stitching Centers in Jhansi and 12 in Lalitpur where woman are trained and taught stitching garments free of cost.

 

In The Field of Games 

The Trust has understood the vital role played by games and sports activities in the development of an individual’s personality and has made considerable efforts for the promotion of the same

The Trust manages the Hockey Academy in Sri Laxmi Vyayam Mandir, a Cricket Academy in (Pt.) Ramnarayan Sharma Sports complex. The Trust is in the view of setting up 30 Acres land for sports events of national level. Cricket and Hockey Competitions at the state level have been organised.

In the rural areas of Jhansi, Lalitpur (U.P.), Datia (M.P.) Sports events on a large scale have been organised and the

Pt.) Anurag Sharma (Managing Director of Baidyanath Group of Industries, Managing Trustee of Dr. (Pt.) Vishwanath Sharma Hindu Charitable Trust and member of Board of Trustee of RLGPS) has announced an amount of Rs. 60 Lakhs to be utilized for the promotion of Education and Sports activities in the Bundelkhand Region.

The above mentioned tasks are being executed in the entire Bundelkhand region on a broad scale. Hopefully all districts will be benefited within three years.
